Congratulations and Farewell to Dr Jonathan Rimdolmsom Kabre!

Congratulations to Dr Jonathan Rimdolmsom Kabre…who just deposited the copies of his doctoral thesis necessary to be awarded officially his PhD … and is on his way for a post-doc Position with my respected colleague Daniel Bradlow (https://www.chr.up.ac.za/centre-staff/daniel-bradlow) at the Centre for Human Rights University of Pretoria in South Africa.

Jonathan, a citizen of Burkina Faso, spent seven years in Lausanne in order to obtain his MLaw (UNIL) and his PhD for his thesis entitled: Le rôle des juristes privés (avocats et conseils) dans le règlement des différends impliquant les Etats (The role of private lawyers in the dispute settlement between States).

His thesis defence took place on 13 May 2019: https://agenda.unil.ch/display?id=1550046512914

Jonathan and I have co-authored two articles recently:

  • Private Counsel and the Proposed Reforms of Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS), in: Katja Fach et al. (eds.), Private Actors in International Investment Law (Springer, forthcoming 2020).
